You may choose to shop as an anonymous shopper or you may Log in as a Registered user. As a Registered user you are taken to a password-protected area where your details are kept.

Secure connection when entering sensitive information

The placement of orders uses industry standard 128-bit SSL (secure socket layer) to protect all transactions until you confirm the order. This means that information such as credit card details are encrypted so that only the Manager of Abbey Crafts & Books can decode them.

Secure storage of information

Once confirmed, order information is stored and encrypted at a much higher level to make it hack-proof. When sent to the Manager, the information remains encrypted in such a manner that only the Manager can decrypt it.
